IG Vinyl Build: It's Happening!

I am not sure if E5 is actually cleaning up the dust/dirt that got in over the weekend. I see it clean the floor but then the eater is still super cloudy after 7 or 8 cycles. I tried the “super fine” filter, but when I’d go to pull it out of the water all the water would drain out and make the pool dirty again. Any insight on these filters for the A20? Is it just going to stay cloudy until I run my pump/filter?

Since you can vacuum to waste I think that might be a good idea to do. Do you have a manual vacuum set up? That will allow you to vacuum the stuff up and out of the pool since E5 seems to be having a hard time holding it in.

I would if I could. None of my equipment is hooked up to electrical yet. Panelboard shortage I guess and until now wasn’t concerned because I didn’t plan on using any equipment until spring.

Well darn! I forgot about that part. Well keep on keeping on with what you are doing. I don't know if this is possible but could you put a cotton shirt on/over/inside E5 to help them catch and keep the dirt/dust?

I don't recall which filters you are using. The pleated filters are for the fine stuff. This is all I use in my A30.

I’ll see if anything fits, but not certain how to do it.

Thanks for letting me know. I tried those pleated ultra fine filters for 2 cycles, and when I pulled it out of the water it just left a huge cloud of dirt. I’ll try them again though.

I would have the electrician run power to the pump with a temporary line so that you can use the filter.

They have to run power out there anyway, so they might as well run the line even if you have to install a small single breaker box until the main box comes in.

Why is the main panel taking so long to get in?

Is it being hand made in Japan by ancient craftsmen forging the steel in some ancient village using centuries old techniques?

The electrician for pool #1 was going to run temp power when he was too busy to spend a whole day there. (10 years ago, I can only imagine now. He'd have to run a temp - temp line ? I dunno)

Anywho it's fairly common. @JamesW with the save as always. 👍

Been a whirlwind couple of new weeks, multiple interviews, flights around country...I am now officially off the clock until December 12th until I start with my new company. Never envisioned after 10 years of even considering leaving my previous company, but too many things going wrong shattered my trust that we could deliver my promises to my clients. So excited for the new position and company come December!

Now to the pool: I didn't get the pool as clean as I wanted it, although chemistry was good, still a lot of dust/dirt in there that is going to have to wait until spring to clean up. However, PB said if you want me to install the safety cover, it's happening now (I think that was November 9th?), and thank goodness because wasn't but a couple days and we moved hard into winter...I think we've had snow flurries every day for almost 10 days. Thank goodness I'm not in Buffalo though, praying everyone in that area of NY is safe. Fence is getting finished tomorrow, happy with the grading/soil (all set for seed to pop and overseed in spring), liking the stepping stones my wife wanted install of a paver or concrete walkway, and we will tie in electrical sometime before December 12th so I can get final inspections and not have to think about this anymore. Picture dump following.

LOVE the stones for the walkway!! Well done wife!

What kind of work do you do? General will do. They flew you all over the place to meet them? Congratulations on the new job!!!
Thanks! I relayed your kind words.

I do retirement planning, sell and manage company retirement plans like 401k, 403b, pensions, etc.

Time for the fence…luckily ground is frozen. Just in time too, this morning a young buck decided to test the safety cover. Put two front hooves on it and immediately ran away before I could scare it off.

Before I put my pool in, I'd get a lot of deer in the pool yard. I installed a 5ft fence n they don't even jump it. Glad the buck took off and didn't try to walk on it.
