Getting ready to add an automated dosing pump to my hot tub. Does anyone know if it's possible to tie the dosing pump line to a plumbing line on the tub. I have a 24-hour circulation pump that runs through a frog inline port on the tub but was unsure if that line would work. I am planning on a check valve to prevent back pressure through the pump. I hope the pump could overcome the pressure of the hot tub pump while it runs. Then I would not need a see a tube runnign up the side and over the top of the tub into the water. I ordered this pump

BRS 2 Part Doser - 1.1 mL per minute from bulk reef supply.

See post below for Stenner pump and tank for sale.

Started on this project this weekend. Found a RV drain port that I installed through the cabinet to fill my bleach bottle on the inside. Added a plug to plug in my smart plug to run the pump from. Now just need to tie in the pump line next weekend when the pump comes. Wanted something I could control and fill with out taking a panel off. 20221112_145037.jpg20221112_170301.jpg

Just me? I'd wonder how much to add. A simple float and indicator would answer that, but it also adds a point of potential leaking if the float were mounted in the side...

I built a prototype designed for outside the tub.

Finished this project up. mounted the pump and plumed it into one of the 4 lines that come off the circulation pump. The line runs through the inline frog system that I no longer use. I have the pump set to run twice a day for 15 minuets. That will put in 2 oz of bleach total. I use a google routine to run that. I will test a lot over the next few weeks to dial that in as well the reoutlines that I set up based on how many people it in the tub and for how long. So far it is working well.

Got a check valve in the line just in case (not required with a peristaltic pump, but)?
