Hi

I am looking for some advice. This is the first pool we have constructed. We have engaged a PB who will manage the entire project. My wife and I are building a new concrete pool for our 3 boys. Excavation was done 2 weeks ago. No shoring, boxing or reinforcement has been installed since. Have had approx 1 inch of rain 2 days ago. The walls have caved in and have undermined the hedging we were intending to keep as part of the landscape design. Also the boundary fence has been undermined- nearing closer to our neighbours land. Builder has only made 1 site visit in the past 2 weeks since excavation and said it was no issue. After this they assured me they would attend the site, but the haven’t come as promised. I am worried. My neighbour is angry! Photos attached.

Can someone please advise me if this is normal? I am not a pool builder but conventional logic tells me this is a very big mess? I would appreciate some advice / opinions .

Thanks a lot !

Normal, No. I would take it upon myself to protect the integrity of the excavated walls from any more damage due to rain. Inexpensive plastic sheeting is normally installed if weather is going to impact the exposed excavation.
