As I posted before our large pool light has gone out
All of the other lights go to junction boxes in the landscaping
I can't find the one for the pool light.

Any secrets from the experts here ? We can't justify / afford to pay a pro this year . And if we knew where the wires terminate it would be a relatively easy job

I have low voltage tone and trace equipment but it won't work through dirt , it needs contact or nearly

It’s not uncommon to use a light with a long cord directly to the switch or to the control system.

It’s probable that there is enough cord in the niche to put the light on the deck for bulb replacement if it’s the type with a replaceable bulb.

S,

Unless the cord was long enough to reach back to the equipment pad, I'd say your junction box is within 15' of the light itself. It should be up out of the ground about 2 or 3 feet.

Are there any unknown switches at the equipment pad?

Is the light close enough that the switch could be on a Porch or an shed?

Thanks,

Jim R.

There are 2 surface boxes I've found and a four Plex outlet that is just off the deck. It has connections for another outlet that is controlled by the system. I'm unable to find a circuit that is energized when the pool light is on.

The light is jandy led so it doesn't have replaceable bulb. I plan to change to that to make future repairs easier and cheaper .

Don't have a handy picture but I'll get one

Here is screenshot from a YouTube, very similar to what I have , but we have 2 rows of relays in 2 boxes like this.

And the wires on the relay are 120 volt and 12 or 14 guage , purple as I recall.

Google says the wires for a 129 volt jandy led from 5 years ago has stranded black white and green wires. Haven't been able to find them

Also posted a picture of one of our surface boxes that is at about the 4 o'clock position in the image in the lower dark edge . It has transformer for 3 sheer decents and connections for the led in the waterfall.

The 2 surface boxes on the edge nearest the pad makes me think they didn't home run it.

Your light cords are in this box, large cables.
