Coping looks terrible

Note that sanding only works with some stone and not all coping stone, so don't do it unless you're sure that it won't make it look worse.

Some stone can be damaged by sanding.

Sometimes, installers use grout wash water in a way that gets colored grout on the stone as a stain.

Washing the stone might help and maybe pressure washing might help but it can also damage some stone, so a few options, but be careful and try a test spot to see how any treatment will work.
Thank you for the advice I will check with the PB as well on it!

:swim: OH YEAH!!!

So who told you to wait 2 weeks? Any idea what kind of start up they used?
I dont' know what a "start up" is? The pool is filling with water now - the plaster guy and PB told me to wait two weeks before swimming? They didn't say when they would be by to do the chemicals but told me to brush?

Here is a link on the different start ups:

If the plaster guy and PB said to wait two weeks then wait two weeks! I would ask them what start up they are using just so you know. I wonder if they are using the "hot start" method. That is one of the best ones.

I will ask, thank you, and thank you for the link to read I will check it out!

I just noticed one of the returns in the pool is leaking water (probably from them cleaning yesterday) will that stain the plaster as its pretty high in the shallow end (not close to filling yet) what can I do?

It can stain, yes. Do you have any balloons? Get one in there, inflate it until it's sealing the pipe (but not popable) and tie it off. That should last long enough until the water is return High. Or get crafty and make your own ballon/ plug.
