Hello, I’ve scoured these threads to find information on an affordable robot vacuum that works with an Intex pool that has wrinkles in the liner. I just returned the aiper seagull 600. It just stayed on a wrinkle on the bottom of the pool. What pool vacuum has worked for you guys w an intex type pool that the bottom is not completely even and smooth? The aiper was around $300, I’d like to stay in that price range.
Thank you!!!

I have wrinkles and ruts in my liner bottom and I have the Hayward AquaDroid that has been around for years and it works just fine. It works off the suction of your filter pump. I think it is called the aquabug now.

I had an absolute joke of a liner install back in 2021 - big folds in the wall and a spot where the liner was 2 inches off the wall where it meets the floor. (A crackhead posing as a pool service man installed it - had to be redone the following year and is looking fantastic now...) While that first liner was in - I used a Maytronics Dolphin E30 almost every day and never had an issue. I was sure it was going to punch through the liner or grab the giant folds and not let go - but it never did. Here is an example of an area on the wall that it handled easily with no damage....

ok. I think it is worth asking... Do you have to have a robot? Intex pools generally are not real big. I had one for 4 years while I was deciding if I really wanted to take on an inground pool. I always manually vacuumed it. However, I had to upgrade the pump, the filter in order to effectively do that. Maybe the plumbing limitations are why you are looking for a robot. .... or it could be you have one of those really big intex pools. Hint: update your signature so people can quickly make suggestions based on your pool set up.

So - here is a thought. If you don't find the idea of a therapeutic time vacuuming your pool, I did a review on a battery powered option that might be perfect for you. I use it at least 2x's per week on my 36'x16' pool.
Here is a review I did on that. There seem to be a lot of other reviews since I posted that. But take a look - it might be a good option for you. It doesn't require any hoses, it meets your price, but it does require you to move it around. I have been using mine for close to a year and have not had a single issue with it.

EDIT: I linked the wrong page.
