Last year I had error codes on my heater that were very non specific to classic problems. After tons of help here, and talking to anyone of my friends that would listen, finally someone I know told me to switch the fuseable link that sits in the exhaust. I bought almost 15 new parts and was ready to go to town, then I tried the 6 dollar part, fired right up. From thinking igniter, to faulty gas valve, to who knows what, to a simple 6 dollar part. Easiest way to check if this could be your problem? Just place a wire connection between the two contacts, effectively bypassing the link. If your heater fires up, order that bad boy of a part, and save your summer! This may not be your problem, but I felt the need to say this, as it was never brought up as a possibility, and it is not clear in the instructions or troubleshooting manual that this even causes a fault code, or is the reason for a fault code.
