I found the awesome Pool Finish and Color Viewing Room post but not many PolishedScapes photos there. We had gunite done last week and will be going to look at PolishedScapes tomorrow as we need to make a decision (originally planned to go with StoneScapes mini pebble but looking to get a smooth a finish as possible so PB suggested PolishedScapes). I like more of a light aqua hue versus deep blues, and have been looking at PolishedScapes Coral Reef, Sea Glass and Surfside. I really like Sea Glass but not many pics on NPT site and I'm concerned about it skewing too green. If anyone has any of these (or even other) colors--as well as any thoughts on PolishedScapes, I'd appreciate it!

I am glad you found the thread I was going to share. Sorry to hear it did not have the plaster you are looking at. I will do some poking around to see if I can find a pool shared here that has it.
Thanks! We really needed to make our decision, though, so ended up going with Silver Reef. I found enough photos (I think!) to give me a sense of what that will look like and as much as I liked Sea Glass I was just too worried it might skew too green.

I’m sure it will be stunning. All you have to do is get remotely *close* to what you like. Pools have so many moods due to the sun angle and cloud cover. Then even the same trees in the background could be reflecting yellow in the spring, green all summer and orange/red in the fall. *Plus* variances in sun and clouds. And then ink black every sundown. Lol. It’s an agonizing decision that got us all. But the pics you see are just a momentary snapshot and that same pic would have been different only an hour later.

I’ve also yet to see one that didn’t WOW me, even the ones I wouldn’t have thought I’d liked. You’ll see. Keep us posted. :)

I'm sure you're right! That's kind of where we landed last night - regardless of what we pick, we will love it! That, and I was starting to get cross-eyed looking at all of the colors...

It’s utterly maddening tying to chose. Once it’s in the first month or two is fun as you’ll see a few dozen shades that you didn’t even know you’d love. (y)

Have we seen a rainy day yet ? No ? *everybody runs to the window*.

Ooooooooooooh
Aaaaaaaaaaaaah

:ROFLMAO:

Check out post 98, 3 pics close in time at different positions around the pool. At noon it will be bright an vibrant.

I can’t even visualize exactly what you picked, but trust me. Ya did good. :)

I saw the sea glass sample when we were looking and it was beautiful! Out of our price range so not an option, but I would have seriously considered it if it had been. I also wondered about it looking green but I liked it so much I don’t think I would have cared 🙃. Since there aren’t many pictures to find of those finishes, make sure you come back and add yours to the gallery to help a future pool owner out 😊.

Wanted to share pics of the NPT Polished Scapes in Silver Reef now that we've been through the process. Love the color - couldn't be happier!

We finally picked out a polishedscape color but PB now saying installer does not offer and does not recommend any polished product due to etching and scaling issues like quartz products.

Was this your experience?

I’m feeling like we chose the wrong PB and the installer just isn’t certified to offer it.

Would love to know what experience others have with this product?

Hm, I haven't heard that and ours is only a month old so no issues for us thus far - fingers crossed!
Was polishedscapes more expensive than Stonescapes when you got quotes? How is your experience this far? We are looking for a smoother finish than mini pebble & our PB is trying to sell us on micro pebble. Wondering if maybe he just doesn’t install Polishedscapes or if micro pebble is smoother than polishedscapes…

I'm pretty sure PolishedScapes was more expensive. I think Stonescapes or micro-something is what the PB had in our original quote but we wanted the PolishedScapes because they are much smoother IMO. From that perspective--smoothness--we're very happy. We are now dealing with some other issues though in that there is splotchiness and/or mottling throughout the pool which is really visible. Now, we've had pH issues since the beginning (first with a leak, then other issues) so it could be totally unrelated to the plaster. However, in reaching out to our plaster co about this one of the things they did mention was, "Splotchiness” to a certain extent is common with the darker polishscapes finishes." I didn't know this when we chose the color we chose (Silver Reef), and in hindsight I probably would've chosen differently (color-wise) based on this alone.
