Turned on my new Raypak 336k heater for the first time Saturday. It was a lot quieter than I expected. The guy filling my propane tank said his heater sounds like a jet engine. Mine is practically silent. I'm hoping this is normal?..?..

But the good thing is that it heated my pool from 72 to 78 in around 4-5 hours. Bad thing is that it LOVES propane..lol
 
A Raypak heater is a natural draft heater and does not have a blower that sounds like a jet engine that the forced draft heaters have.
