I'm adding a handrail to the steps of my pool

How do I use my pool safety cover as the railing goes down below the decking level to the water level
Are they made to be taken out every year? I'm assuming so, but wanted to check

Yes assuming you're closing up for the season just get it out .

Check with whoever is installing the handrail as to what is involved to remove it and reinstall it.

To get my handrail out, I just have to loosen the two bolts and give it a few upward whacks with a rubber mallet. Not a big deal.

Mine just drops into two sockets. We added a hinged section once we went to an auto cover.
