Good Day Folks,

A quick question which I have tried to find the answer to but couldn't locate on this forum. I am thinking of switching from dichlor/bleach to Bromine.

I have 3 young kids, 7,9,11 who use the tub about 3-4 times a week and my wife and I who use the tub 5-6 times a week. The kids are little monsters who bring in all kinds of crazy into the tub. I found a set of googles in the skimmer the other day !

Would the 3 step bromine process be able to keep up with such a high bather load?

I test daily with the K2006 kit and would be checking the dispenser each day.

Thank you
Sean

Hi
I would not use bromine. It does not do a good job of sanitizing. Stick with liquid chlorine or a saltwater generator.

Edit: Oops, didn't realize I was in the spa forum, thought I was in the pool forum  . So I honestly don't know how bromine would be for a spa. I believe Bromine may work better at higher temperatures but don't quote me on that.

I would look into a swg to do the heavy lifting. Then you just supplement as needed when u use it.
Not sure if the saltron mini is available to u or not.
In my experience bromine can be irritating. Especially to young tender skin.
