Hello everyone,
I just installed my IC40 today after just over a month of opening my brand new pool. I was reading through the manual afterwards (I think I've read through it at least 3 times at this point) and remembered something that stood out to me (picture attached).
It this basically a Pentair covering their own a** type of statement or do you really have to turn the SWG off when adding any sort of chemicals? And when they say "off", doesn't that mean basically not running your pump? That seems odd to me, because when I do add any type of chemicals, I DO run my pump to make sure the water circulates properly, ESPECIALLY when adding salt, since it says to run your pump for 24 hours after adding salt. I guess this has me pretty confused.
If I do have to turn it off, how do I do that and still keep the pump running to do its thing? There is no bypass on my SWG plumbing and it just goes straight through the cell after leaving the filter and on down the line after that.
