They say it is lasts as long as the regular pebble... but it has not been around nearly as long, so I don't really know for sure, but I'm pretty confident it will last longer than plaster. My understanding (and I may be mistaken) is that the pebble fina is very similar to quartz.

Yeah it does have some sparkle to it, what they call shimmering sea. It's not particularly noticeable, I think it just helps produce a nice bright color in the water.

If someone who didn't know anything about pool finishes looked at ours, I think they would just assume it's plaster that looks really good. Lifetime warranty on the finish in Florida! Hoping it lasts longer than our quartz did!We currently have quartz. Premix Marbletite Marquis almost black finish (60% pewter/40% charcoal). No mottling and a beautiful water color. The product carried a 10 year warranty and it started getting rough right at year 10 and failing by year 12 (finish is actually missing in a couple spots at the bottom of the pool). We stretched it to year 13 and now we're refinishing with Wet Edge Signature Matrix Tahoe in a couple weeks. The quartz is now like sharp razors and I've cut and shed blood numerous times on the finish, edge off the sunshelf and steps. So have our guests. It was very smooth when first installed but over the years, no matter how balanced your chemicals are, when brushing your pool the plaster wears and exposes more of the quartz. You'll begin to find quartz at the bottom of the pool as it comes loose and the finish will get sharp as more of the edges of quartz are exposed (quartz is not round like pebbles). I know the pebble finish will feel somewhat different than the quartz. They advertise the Wet Edge Signature Matrix finish blends small and large pebbles allowing the smaller pebbles to fill in the gaps between the larger ones, creating a tighter pebble and smoother finish
You guys are very convincing! Is this an issue that can arise with pebble fina? If you know. I do have a call out to wet edge for the primer a stone just waiting to hear pricing.
Just so you prepare yourself... Primera stone is their top tier product $$$ It is a lot of work to install because after install they come in to sand/buff the entire pool to that smooth finish. On the flip side you don't have to refinish again if you get this. They can come in and buff it over and over if needed.
That’s true! I am preparing myself for not being able to squeeze it into the budget...if I can’t I may go back to checking out pebble fina. I don’t know why but the lining of the pool is giving me the most grief.
TOTALLY unlike me!!! During our initial pool build our pool builder sent us to numerous pools to step in and feel the finishes 
This time I'm going for longevity. The quartz is currently like knives. This can't be worse. Plus, I grew up in Florida running around barefoot all summer long as a kid. I'll take the pebble like a champ. My husband's sensitive feet are more of a worry. But with the cost of this refinish I don't think he'll care as long as it lasts and we don't have to refinish again anytime soon!
I absolutely will! Looks like we get started on the refinish in a couple weeks. All my tile is in stock and already placed on hold by my builder so it's a matter of getting in line.
Hmm, if it's anything like Florida is, you may be further out than that. If it were here you'd be months away from that yet. They are going so slow here for new builds and then county inspections in between cause delays as well. The pebble is the absolute last thing to go in. However, I'm not sure how fast pool builds are going up where you are. Luckily for us refinishing projects don't need any permits pulled or inspections!
I think I’m at the point of over researching too lol which pebble product and color are you going with? The wet edge signature matrix? I’m curious about that one tooI tend to "over research" things as well so I get it!!! However with this refinish I'm just so adamant about NOT having to refinish our pool again anytime soon so I'm going with the pebble without even feeling it first
