Hard plumbing just this one piece.

First off, I want to say that I hope all of my fellow Texans were as lucky as we were this past week. Very minimum damage. My plan was to just leave my pump going. Well at some point on the second night, the bottom part of this hose popped off. It’s something I’ve been wanting to hard plumb, but just haven’t got around to it. Everything was frozen by the time I realized it & it threw the gfci so I thought for sure I was going to be buying a new pump, but it still works, so yay. The only reason I haven’t heard plumbed this piece is because I have no clue what to use. What is used to fit over those things that the hose clamps to? I have looked at Home Depot, but haven’t seen anything and I have no clue what to ask for. Any help would be appreciated.

@ajw22 and @JamesW will probably know the sizes, but the barbed piece that the hose clamps to unscrews on both ends and new pieces screw in that you can glue PVC to.

Im pretty sure the yellow slide pipes in the background are overkill. :ROFLMAO:

You look to have Hayward equipment, although I can't quite make-out the filter model. But if you are wanting to replace the flex hose, you simply need the adapters to screw into the pump outlet and the multiport valve inlet. Those adapters will be glued to PVC but also allow you disconnect those items in the future. You don't want the same adapter already installed on the other filter if possible. But if you have to use one of THESE, be sure to use a union as well for easy disconnect later. Below are a couple examples of what could work:

The Hayward pump should be a 1/2" fitting:

To the multiport valve (confirm size):

Be sure to confirm the size (diameter) of your equipment so you get the correct size adapter. The PVC already install should say 1.5" or 2".

See post #4 of THIS THREAD as an example.

You have NO IDEA how difficult it has been for me to not brag about my slide. There’s a whole story and I want to wait until everything comes together before I brag 😂
