To cover or not to cover? That is the question.

South Texas
Ok corny I know, but I need to know!
I have a 15' metal frame intex here in the southern tip of Texas. The pool gets full sun all day. I am wondering about covering it when not in use. I only have the 6 way walmart kit for this season, and the endless wisdom of this site to go with for a while so please be gentle. Complete n00b.
Here is what I have today.

FC= 5
Ph= 7.5
CYA= 45

I am going to use the BBB method from now on, but I am wondering if covering will help reduce chlorine burn off, or will it really not matter? The water is hot enough in the evenings, and I know a cover will make it bath capable.
Oh,and I have a nice 2500 GPH filter on the way so maybe that will help keep it circulated and cooler.

Thanks
