VGreen pumps

Curious what people think of them. I'm looking to replace my single speed pump with a variable speed, and I'm debating a VGreen DIY solution ($800) vs a Hayward VS installed by a dealer ($1200 after city rebate). I have a Prologic controller, so the VGreen would take a little more work to set up but I'm not afraid of that. My main concern is the warranty - 18 months for the VGreen vs 4 years for the Hayward.

Any thoughts?

Go with the Hayward.

Ok, but why? My single speed Hayward pump failed right after the warranty expired, so I'm not too impressed with them right now.

Hayward is compatible with the automation. You get the longer warranty. You get the whole pump. Hayward might have a rebate available.

For the V-green, you get less warranty. You might have to replace the impeller. You have to do the labor to take it apart and rebuild it. You have to buy a new seal and gaskets.

I have a vgreen motor on a inyo branded pump and love it. Inyo had great pricing and they seem like a good company and will stand behind it
Only had it for 2 years so can't speak on how long it will last.
I don't have any automation which may be a deciding factor for you

I ended up getting a really good deal on a Hayward VS 950, so I went with that. No complaints so far
