That's just completely bogus. I hope you decide to spend your 1500 on something worthwhile. The physics of that makes no sense to me.

Sounds like we are tackling many of the same issues with our new build. You can check out the progress and issues on this forum. The TFP team has been working with me to get it right for almost a year. We purchased these for the umbrella holders. We saw then at a resort on vacation and they worked great in the wind. Saw them on Amazon $200

Thanks, I was on the fence about it. I think I’m going to remove it and use that money towards a heat pump. We’re not adding it right now, but we are having them wire and plumb for it.
If you are going to wire it now and use later I know this is going to be an issue for me. I am thinking of maybe putting in a heat / cool pump (Pentair 140 Ultra Temp). This changes wire and breaker sizing. But regardless the electrical is going to have to be inspected on my job and we are having a licensed electrician do all the work. It is a long run for me from my panel to the control box. like 100'. And the panels in my place are getting maxed out for sure. so wire size, breakers and panel load are all in play. Just something to consider.
Can you personal message me the sod/irrigation company you used. I'm also in Tampa and need to have that done now that the pool company graded the yard

Update: Permit took exactly one month for approval. PB took 2 weeks before they were out to remove existing screen and concrete pad.
They should start this week. Some building materials were dropped off on Friday. Construction manager was by today and placed the sign out front. Pics below.

A few updates, they laid out the pool a few days ago, today it was dug our and they keyed some plumbing. Tomorrow is rebar. I’ve been taking some time lapse videos with my GoPro and my phone. I attached a few photos for now.

Just remembered I didn’t upload a picture of the gunite. A few days before the walls started collapsing a little after a storm. The gunite crew came by and dig out the mud, pumped the water out, fixed the walls and shoot a thin layer of gunite. The next day they were here at 8:00 am and stayed until almost 5. A brief storm rolled by and created slight delay. I bought the crew some lunch and they were back shooting. Managed to finish everything. It’s been 4 days, going to call tomorrow to see what’s next.

Plumbing was done last week. When they were done I noticed there was no auto fill. It was something I mentioned in discussing the build. Builder said they include it on every pool. But the construction manager said they hardly ever install them and the rep was probably talking about an overflow. I decided to leave it out but I'm still thinking about how often I'll be adding water o the pool. This is a Florida pool, any other Floridians care to tell me how often you top off the pool. Did I make a mistake leaving it off? I keep thinking about potential leaks not being noticed due to the overflow.

Wow, progress has really stalled. I finally have a screen installed. They’re saying Pebblesheen is scheduled for Friday. I can’t imagine how. But we shall see. I still have a pipe that needs to be capped and buried. Electric hasn’t been done yet, and no equipment yet. Tomorrow I’ll be going to the builder and raising heck if none shows up.
