How Clear is TFP Clear? Let's See (Pics Only Please).

So, I like having an AGP, but I live for the day when I can have a busier liner pattern so I can’t see the little bits of debris. Never mind the wrinkles!

On the bright side, Ms. Mingo arrived! Today was her first day in, and it was tropical enough to suit her, for sure!

Your pool looks gorgeous, U2. Makes me want to dive in!

I feel so proud reading this!

Honestly, I've just spent late nights reading threads and doing searches on this site. I've learned an incredible amount. Living in Toronto, pretty much means we open the pool in May and close early Sept before all the leaves fall. Each year I take the cover off, I open up to a total swamp. This year was also a big revamp on the equipment. I bought a new sand filter, I decided on Dr. Dryden's Activate Glass, and we bought a new heater. I was now armed with this new equipment and my new found knowledge of pool chemistry. I even bit the bullet and I am getting a Taylor K-2006C kit delivered to Canada today! This pool has been a life saver during this pandemic!

I have the same pool lol! Well, almost. Mine is the 18’ x 52” but same Intex liner obviously. My wrinkles are super visible too haha

Don’t get me wrong - I love floating around in my little oasis, but I seriously hate the checkerboard! Planning to go with a perm AGP next year, and I am excited for a non-checkerboard liner!

Here is a better one at noon.
Flying Tivo - awesome picture. It really looks like there is no water in there :) Sorry I'm a bit late to the party but I am curious....... what is the purpose of the long step along one side of the pool floor extending from the stairs and what was the idea of 4 return jets right next to each other on one side and (as far as I can see) none anywhere else? I see the skimmer is on the opposite end over the sun shelf so I guess you're going for one-directional circulation across the whole length of the pool rather than circular? I'm genuinely curious about this design.

The long step is for the vertically challenged people as most in the family are 1.80 or more. The whole pool is 1.75 except the ledge. I didnt know any pool stuff when it was built(distribution of skimmer or returns) just plain lucky that the builder built those 4 wall returns plus 4 floor returns(this are extremely useful in mixing chems fast). I also have 4 laminar jets on the right hand side of the deck and the stone wall was supposed to be a waterfall(diseable probably forever) As of now i missed some returns on the sun shelf for cleaning and some light on the shelf and an extra skimmer also. Live and learn. I more mechanically inclined so i did good myself on the pump, filter, swg and automation. I cant lie, TFP came just in time to save me from huge mistakes.

My new friend likes my TFP pool enough that he has been coming for a swim each night and leaving turds on the steps. This morning he must have forgot to set his alarm and got caught. He is about the size of a softball and is a super fast swimmer. It took me about 30 minutes chasing him with the net before he got exhausted and I finally caught him. I have found with the big ones if you don't relocate them, they will just come back later. I am about to take him to the pond at the park up the road.
