I have a concrete pool that is 40 years old. It was built when my parents owned the house. It has a painted surface. Paint has always held up well. I painted the pool myself 6 years ago. Could have made another year but decided to do it now. I was pressure washing it to get ready for painting and found some small delaminated areas in the bottom along the wall. The pool is fiberglass oval 16 X 35 with a concrete bottom. Top 4 feet fiberglass with a concrete bottom in a bowl shape. Concrete is 4 to 6 inches thick. My parents had someone come fix a similar problem about 15 years ago on the other side. No problems at all with that repair. My parents are both gone now and I don't remember who they used. Any way. The problem they had fixed was a bigger area. I want to do it myself. Theses areas are small. Biggest one is about 1 1/2" out of the 4. My question is what should I use. I here gunite shotcrete and other terms but not sure if they are new terms or processes of the same material. I want to say the last repair hydraulic cement was used. I have already chipped away the loose material until I hit solid.

Finally completed the patch job. 3 day week end. Thanks to the weather only 1 day workable. Now it looks like painting will have to wait do to weather. Started with a few small voids. Ended up with the rectangle in the 3rd pic. Kept cutting until I had no more crumbling concrete. I used drylok fast plug. The void is on the left half way up the wall from the first pic. The pitch at that point is about 75 degrees. They weren't lying when they said 3 to 5 minutes working time. Closer to 3 minutes. I started to fill the void then asked for help because it was setting way to fast for me to make a good fill. My brother in law is in commercial construction and came over to help. He finished the mess I started to make LOL. Now I need the weather to cooperate which isn't looking good the next few days!
