Hello I just found the forum. I am in houston and i have a 18000 gallon of pool. I was using tablet and leslie pool says my cya is 90. I am going to test it with tf100 today. I am planning to get rj45 but website has a deal it says for 10 bucks more i can get rj60. Putting rj60 is ok? Does it have any bad effect? Price is 1200 usd. Is there a better deal for rj45 right now? Many thanks for your help

You can order the RJ-30 for $969 and upgrade to the RJ-45 for $10 more. That's what I would do. You're well under half of your rated gallons so, IMO, you'd just be paying extra for no real benefit. I have the RJ-45 for my 20,000 gallon pool and it barely is running between 15-20% output. Save the extra $300 towards the replacement cell in a few (5) years.(y)

I second this as well and it's exactly what I just did. I would say the extra cost isn't worth the 60 for your use. Go to the rj30 page and upgrade to the rj45 for $10. It comes out to just under $1000 shipped, which feels like a bargain to me.

On your 18000 gallon pool running for 24 hours, the rj45+ would be set at about 25% and the rj60+ about 15%. I would probably go with the RJ 45+

Guys question. My tf100 shows different salt levels compared to rj60. I gues i shouldnt worry about it. Second question instructions says run it 75 percent for 24 hours for the first time. This will generate too much chlorine for me. Do I have to do this to break it in? Final question after installation i got small drip leaks from pvc connection. Somehow didnt glue well. Any epoxy or wrap solution to stop leak for good? I dont want to cut connections there isnt enough pipe to make up new connections i have to trash the sensor. Thank you

Did you remember to put on the 2 gaskets on the cell unions? That may be what is causing the leaking. As for the salt reading, go with what your test kit says. The RJ's salt reading isn't really reliable. It usually reads higher than the test kit. As long as it generates chlorine, I wouldn't worry too much about it. Just check it once in a while with your test kit to make sure it doesn't fall below the level required to make salt.

An epoxy may work on the leak; especially if it is a small drip. There is no break in, just estimate what your daily fc loss is and set your percentage according to pool math. Your salt readout on the rj60 is an estimate, rely on a test kit for actual levels
