One of my children frequently complains about eye sting from using the pool. Others may notice a minor irritation, but he seems especially sensitive. I'm trying to figure out if there's a way to improve the pool.
Here are my test results from today:
I cleaned the filter last week and put in CYA and planned to adjust things today after it's had a week to dissolve. I plan to raise TA and pH to get things in balance. The FC/CYA Levels recommends a little higher CYA.
From my understanding of eye sting, it comes from pH and/or CC, but I believe my numbers look good. What other things might help?

- Even though the FC/CYA chart recommends a lower FC for a SWG, I tend to run the pool with higher FC after some previous discussions here. Could the higher FC level be causing sting?
- I researched some things and ran across Orenda. I was pleased to find several blog articles about technical aspects of chemistry (which aside from TFP, I generally don't find), including this one about ideal pH. At the end of the article, the mentioned relying too much on chlorine for bather waste removal, which has a link to another article that talks about using their enzyme products (CV-600). I'm wondering if trying something like that might be helpful. Does anyone know about such products? (I know TFP tries to keep us in the basics, but I'm looking for something to keep my son's eyes happier.)
