Pump Was running fine for a week or two, one day when out in the pump housing broke in two, and so did the multi port selector handle broke away from the valve. Wasn’t sure why thought that it froze, ‘doubtful, but when after I replaced, I left pump running for about six hours, shut off, went back out the next day multi port valve is broken again. Anybody know what would cause this to happen?

It looks old.
Notice how the color is different and it has a faded sticker?
It wouldn't come from the factory like that.
It looks like the pump was built from used parts.
There should be a silver sticker on the front of the pump with a barcode and a manufacturing date.
What is the date from the sticker?
Can you show pictures of every label from the pump?
What speed was the pump running?
What was the filter pressure?
Did it get freezing cold there?

It didn't freeze twice.
Pump housing was replaced, and is still ok presumably.
MV broke again, probably while pump was off.

Conclusion: Salt cell running while pump was off (bad flow switch and not on pump circuit). Broke valve and cracked pump first time, just broke valve (presumably) the second time.
