We have an Intex 16x32 UltraFrame and are going on our third season with it. I put 2x12 pieces under the metal supports and they have held up nicely. I have heard horror stories about using pavers under the supports so we opted for wood and have had no issues. I also put 4x8 foam sheets under mine and that feels great to wlka on. in the pool. I also used the tarp that came with it but added another heavier one just to be safe. The SWG system is great. We replaced the pump this year with a Hayward pump which made a huge difference. We also added a Hayward side wall skimmer that does a much better job keeping the pool clean. Hope all this info helps! You're definitely in the right place to learn!

There is so little info regarding setting pool on concrete slab or pavers or anything besides soil. You guys are mostly correct that I might face pavers settling damage. I went to two pool stores today and they are absolutely clueless regarding anything but selling salt......

Pavers is not concrete. We would not be giving you concerns if you were planning on putting the pool on concrete.

For what it's worth, I have my pool on a concrete slab and the other half is on pavers (just the way we had to do it because of our layout). Our pavers were installed probably 2 years ago. I would have to say if your pavers are set in by professionals using tampers you will be fine. I have 3 legs and 2 of those U-shaped side supports on top and the pavers are solid.

We are on our second year of a 24x12x52. Do not put only pavers! We did earth, then sand and put down 10x10x1 pavers, which over half crushed. Had to empty the pool and ended up putting down “half cinderblock solids” and they’ve held up thus far. Had to empty the pool and releveled the sand this year after my husband patch worked it last year to see it through summer, after the block fiasco. Do it right the first time! Get it as level as possible before adding water.
Oh, another thing: the middle section will look like it’s caving in. Do not fret! They will straighten out as the pool fills!

Hello guys, I did finish my project and pool is up and running. I will post pictures so you can see in detail what I did under the pool and how project looks now.
Waiting for your project pictures. My pool will be 40% on patio and 60% on ground. I am planing to level the ground to the patio using mason sand. Then insulated foam on top.
Well still waiting for shipping confirmation for the pool. Someone told me not to use mason sand to level, suggested to use composed gravel. Sill not sure what to use
sand won't support anything and will wash out. you should always level by going down to lowest spot. building UP is risky and needs special engineering, such as mechanical compacting, framing or retaining structures etc
Hello nice people, pictures are here - pool is looking great and completely even. I have to admit I was very lucky that pavers are completely flat without and discrepancy in height. So pool was done on top of my pavers and has few layers below.
1. Heavy duty tarp - and it is really heavy - 3 millimeters thick.
2. FOAMULAR 150 1 in. x 4 ft. x 8 ft. R-5 Scored Square Edge Rigid Foam Board Insulation Sheathing
3. Heavy duty gorilla super tape (taped all boards together)
4. 3.2 mm Waterproof Premium Plus 10-in-1 underlayment for Vinyl, Laminate, Engineered Floors
5. Tarp again
6. Ladder that came with the pool was upgraded to the
Confer Plastics Above Ground Swimming InPool Step & Ladder | Heavy Duty
7. Good stuff for the end....my wife told me that pool looks like huge container and she ordered bamboo what is installed
around the pool with zip ties to the legs.
Waterproof underlay was done so you have soft feel on your feet when walking - it is excellent.
I upgraded 10 inch sand pump to Krystal clear 16 inch.
Instaled salt water system that works perfectly. Pictures attached.

need advice on setting the water, right nozzle points to the left water spread on surface. All the bugs on top of water are accumulated in corner. Should the flow be downwards?
you have to figure out what works for your pool, all the bugs in a corner might be good - you can skim them all up. in my case I run an auto cleaner on my single return most of the time so it doesn't have a directional nozzle on it anymore. I also have a "real" skimmer installed pretty close to recieve floaters from the main wind direction. Mostly you just need it for mixing the water well. Swimmers do that job too.
Did the waterproof underlayment make that much of a difference even with the 2nd intex tarp over it? Just want to make sure because it's an additional $175-195 in cost. TIA!
Looks great, I am a bit jealous of the totally straight sides on the pool. Ours are slightly bent, no clue why since the bottom is almost perfectly leveled.
