10 days ago I filled up the pool from our rain water collecting tank.
Next day I had the following test results:
FC 1.4
CC 0
pH 7.5
TA 50
CH 130
CYA 40
Temp 61
CSI -0.93
First I have adjusted total alkalinity by adding baking soda (2900 grams in total) till I reached 70.
Hereafter I adjusted calcium hardness by adding calcium chloride dihydrate (11300 grams in total) till I reached 260.
Today I have filled up the pool with water from our rain water collecting tank (pH > 8, TA 50, CH 50).
In the meantime pump was running and added 0.5 L of liquid chlorine as well.
After 2 hours I had the following results:
FC 4.4 (target 5)
CC 0
pH 7.8 (target 7.5)
TA 80 (target 80)
CH 260 (target 270)
Temp 62
CSI -0.07
PoolMath advised me to add liquid chlorine, lower pH and increase CH.
I understand that I have to add liquid chlorine but what would you do with pH and CH as they are very close to their targets?
Was my plan of attack correct or would you have done it differently (if I am correct you can see my logging)?
Thank you.
Dominique
