Dolphin lacking suction/power

I have a Dolphin Oasis 25 that is about 5 years old. I use the accordion style fine filter, still the original one. I've noticed that although it is pick up debris, it is missing a lot, both large and small. Instead, it seems to be pushing it around. I've watch it go over debris and not pick up. When I clean the filters it is not full of fine debris between the fold so it's not a quantity issue.
I've also noticed that it doesn't have enough power to climb the walls. I normally see a lot of big bubbles when it first starts running and when it is doing walls but there is not much of that.
I opened the top where the propeller is an saw only a tiny amount of debris. I haven't gone beyond that. Can I troubleshoot this myself or do I need to take it for service?

I would try cleaning the filters first with TSP or automatic dishwasher detergent. Oils can plug the filter media. Or get new filters. Sounds like the pump is running you just are not getting the volume of water through it.

Did this start all of a sudden or a gradual decline in performance?

Thanks, will try that. Are instructions the same as cartridge filters? 1:5 ratio, soak 1 hr-overnight, then rinse? Are tsp and dishwasher detergent equally effective or is one of them better?

I noticed the problem after opening the pool this year. At first I thought it was just that it couldn't hold any more debris but quickly realized that wasn't the problem. I know it was climbing walls last year and I'm pretty sure it was fine.

OP...just as an aside, my Oasis Z5 exhibited similar issues before the motor finally died a week ago or so....almost 5 years to the day I bought it. I hope that's not your issue. As mentioned, thoroughly clean the filters, also run it with the spring filters to see if there's a difference. Make sure the brushes aren't bound up and are running freely.

It looks like the issue was the receptacle. I found while doing an unrelated upgrade that it is 120v at the breaker but only 50v at the receptacle. I plugged it in elsewhere and now it's working beautifully. No idea how long the receptacle has been like this as it is mainly used for the pool lights (which I never use). Hopefully I haven't damaged the robot motor! I'm actually surprised it worked with such little power.
