How do you stabilize an umbrella pool in a deck sleeve? We had 2 inch aluminum sleeves pour in our deck. This rubber cone helps but doesn't go down far into sleeve so the bottom of the 1.5 in pole still moves around. Causes umbrella pole to tilt.

Unfortunately the pool noodle material was ineffective.

Deck sleeve hole is 2 in and the umbrella pole is 1.5 in. Would you take the umbrella pole extension to a plumbing supply store and have PVC cut to make the difference?

Yup, Skippy suggests that you do that- take the pole and the sleeve in and schlepp around the PVC in plumbing, but also look at irrigation pipe because it has a thinner outer wall.

addendum: Skippy says look at a piece of radiator hose....<shrug> could work??

Yippee :flower:

Where would one find such a thin sheet of rubber? Am not very creative.
Unfortunately I've learned hard way about the wobble after testing out a new umbrella pole. Scratched up the bottom 3-5 inches of pool a bit; removing some of the powder coating. At least my umbrella sleeves are in the deck and NOT the pool by design.

My umbrella sleeves are sturdy aluminum with drain holes but only down 4 inches below pool deck. Am going to try creating 1.5 inch PVC extensions that are 2-3 ft high for added support. May need to paint them brown to match umbrella poles.

Try McMaster-carr, you can order online, and they have tons of little doo-dads. Some of the other solutions are good too.

As luck would have it, our PB used incorrect 4" deep (304) Stainless a Steel 1.90" OD sleeves for our umbrellas. Made for ladders. Not deep enough:

Am going to try and improvise with a piece of 1.5 inch PVC for support.

Otherwise how do you remove these from concrete decking and replace w/ correct ones with minimal damage? Is it even possible?

PB willing to swap these incorrect umbrella anchors for new ones. Can anyone recommend anchors that will be deep enough for 11 diameter umbrella with 1.5 in OD umbrella poles?

Gwegan, might you know the make and model of them? And the material (PVC, stainless steel, brass)?

Am debating whether to try and salvage the 4 inch anchors I already have or have PB to replace them. Not sure whether it's an easy fix or risk compromising our decking...
