So far the FC hasn't raised enough to read on the home test. So I added (1) gal of bleach. Next I added (12.5) lbs of baking soda. Waited about 2 hrs and added 3.5 pint's of muriatic acid.
Test results from Gage Pools. Raised salt cell output from 20% to 40%.

Not positive on CYA test. I have trouble getting that one correct and I only had enough of the test solution to run it once. Tested with test-strips twice and came up with lower readings of less than 50 both times.

From the water sample I took to Leslie's the other night. I added 4) 40# bags of salt and stablizer .
Opened the pool for 1st time this season. The water was the cleanest I've seen on opening day. Had lots of dirt on the bottom but over all it looked great. James and Lee removed the cover for us which was a big help. Next I put the Dolphin robotic cleaner in to do its thing. Then I cleaned the skimmer for a 2nd time. After that it was getting to dark to see so we decided to wait till today. Ok now we will start. I laid out the backwash hose and started adding water so I can backwash the filter. I also gathered some water samples to test how the pool chemistry is. The water temperature is 80 deg.

after treatment per instructions from Gage Pools... We had several bad storms following a couple of hurricane's and the pool turned light green. since then I have tried shocking with a gal of sodium hypochlorite and ran salt cell at 100% for 24hrs then set it back to 40%. When I looked at this morning it was greener than before. We had some more down-pours. So I added some filter cleaning and let it sit for 1hr an then finish backwashing. Next after getting a water sample I added 1gal of sodium hypochlorite. Then I put the Dolphin M400 in to clean. I then tested the chlorine and pH and then started the next log.

Added 10 bags of salt instead of 8 Add water then, Backwash filter till water level is low then add more fresh water till high again then BACKWASH again till water level is normal once again. Check salt @ salt control box. Still salt down only to 4200ppm. Total Alkalinity was 38 and pH was 7.6 so we added 18lbs Bacon Soda. This morning TA was 80 and pH jumped up to 8.0+. Will have to add Muratic Acid to reduce the pH.
