Controlled test results: control water was at 6.5 ppm this morning. Calcium-dosed water was at 3.0 ppm.
Doing a controlled test to see if my calcium chloride triggers a decrease in FC. Both samples started at 7.5 or 8.0 ppm of FC and around 200 ppm CH. To one sample I added enough calcium to increase the concentration by about 280 ppm. The other was left alone.

I added pH down then pH up. The down was to bring the alkalinity down, but the pH didn’t rise as quick as I hoped with aeration. Had to resort to some pH up before I put the cover on.
