It has been 5-6 weeks since I cleaned filters and traps. We have been gone the last 2.5 weeks. Filter and traps very dirty. Pool sweep had quit working due to filter and traps needing cleaned. This surprised me. Usually not very dirty after 4-6 weeks. Go figure??? I turned up SWG from 10% to 15%.

We have been gone nearly 3 months on an RV trip. Terry has been adding about 32 ounces of Muriatic Acid every 2 weeks and I know he cleaned the pool filter at least once and the leaf trap a couple of times while we were gone. I cleaned pool today ( post Hurricane Ian), cleaned pool filter, leaf trap and skimmer basket. As far as chemicals today….not too bad. I had to add acid, 3 lbs of CYA and 40 lbs of salt.

On 4-3-22, Connie and Terry discovered the pool a foot low while we were out of town. The threads in pool filter housing stripped and water was being pumped out from pool filter housing. We lost 2,500 gallons of water. Mark Waite replaced pool filter housing with a model Jandy 150 on 4-8-20. He also replaced the pool temp sensor and air temp sensor on Pentair control unit that were bad.
