just want to make sure I do not damage this very expernsive heater. I was told that in the spring when adding more chemicals to start up the pool, that bypassing the heater is highly recommended.

    Pool heater question

Thanks Matt. I will be disconnecting the connections at the heater to drain properly to winterize. My question is during the season when I am not using the heater for extended periods of time. Is it ok to have water constantly running through it or if I bypass it will the water that remains in...

    Pool heater question

Thanks for the info. The bypass I installed will keep the water inside (see pic) unless I unscrew both inlet and outlet ports and move the heater a bit. Would I need to add valves at each inlet/outlet port before the bypass valves to drain the water while keeping pool functional?

    Leaking threaded joints

So both skimmer and return lines are leaking at the threaded connections. Pool installer used teflon tape. The connections are 1.5". I removed and rewrapped but these connections are still leaking. An older post recommended pipe sealer or pipe dope with a wrap of teflon tape then sealer again...

    Supply and return lines Underground

I was thinking about that. It may be easier to fix a crack then to dig another trench. the trenching machine piles up a lot of dirt and I could not get to do another pass as I had limited space with a tree stump in the way. The run is about 40 feet.

    Supply and return lines Underground

New above ground pool install. Trenched a 4in wide Trench only have one skimmer and one return line. Is it okay to put one line on top of another in the same Trench?

    AGP plumbing

Trenching 2" pvc tomorrow and when I come up to the pool should connect with hard pipe or flex? I was thinking any pool movement may cause problems with rigid pipe? Also what connectors should I use or replace?
