Recommended Salt Levels for Salt water Pools

Me too that's going to be my gig next year unless I get some dilution but with my autocover not likely.

Does adding Salt really spike the level on the SWG sensor even hours later?

I never realized that. Extra salt for everyone swimming this year. I might dilute it by emptying my spa a few times.

    Garden Hose Recommendation

They key to flexible hoses is not to leave them for any period of time under full pressure. Say you are washing your car, you get a call and go into the house but you don't turn the hose bib off but just shut the spray nozzle off and the hoze is under full pressure and no water flow is...

Never thought I'd ever have to worry but I need outdoor security cameras!

I'm not giving legal advice but I dont think that article is correct. I don't believe NJ has a statute prohibiting your camera on your house also capturing someone elses backyard in plain site. The issue that could come up is if that camera records their conversation and since NJ is a sing...

Never thought I'd ever have to worry but I need outdoor security cameras!

Bingo, if they are throwing eggs from a fair distance the ring cameras (which are very good) might not pick up the people at night time even with flood lights. I have both Ring and IP cameras that cover my entire perimeter If you go just ring you will need plenty of light to get...

What did you do to your pool today?

My original pole is what I used to hang my CYA in my skimmer sock in front of the return. That's its function now.

Does adding Salt really spike the level on the SWG sensor even hours later?

As someone said to me last year, dip my margarita glasses in the pool water. LOL

New here— opening pool, borates, and what to do first!

I recommend the Taylor Test kits, if you have a salt pool then get the salt test. No matter what get the speed stir so it automatically spins water in the little test tubes for you. Easy peasy to do. I got mine from this site and would recommend them (I have no affiliation but many folks here...

Does adding Salt really spike the level on the SWG sensor even hours later?

Maybe I should open my autocover and let it rain in there a bit. Hmm or I drain my built in spa and refill that with new water and do that a couple more times and that will dilute it some.

Jandy SWG - iAquaLink Need Help Choosing SWG

I have it and so far it's been great. I have it on 17.6k gallon pool so I have plenty of cushion yours is much closer 40k capacity on 35k pool. I wonder if you can use two of them to have a major cushion vs running that one at almost a 100% for that size of pool?

Does adding Salt really spike the level on the SWG sensor even hours later?

Tested with Taylor and I have 3600 so I'm a bit annoyed that I overshot 3200. That must mean my volume is a bit lower than what I think. So next year I will put even less than what pool math says. I had already put about 1lb less so maybe push that to like 10lbs less. interesting my SWG...

Does adding Salt really spike the level on the SWG sensor even hours later?

I had the pump running at 2700 rpm the whole time. I used Mortons premium salt and brushed it in. I did a test using Taylor and it was 2600 before adding salt and that as well as my swg reading agreed at 2600. I was going to wait until today to test again with Taylor but just did a sanity...
