The tech at the pool store I go to insists I don’t use lube on O rings - says debris attaches to it and not necessary. Thoughts?

Local Walmart has 10% for 5.67 a gallon, 24074. Pinch a Penny has 2.5 gallon refills for ~17.50 - fresh.

IQpump not working, but able to power the pump by jumping it. Narrowed down the problem to the iqpump - it’s either not connecting, has s bad line, or needs to be replaced. Hopefully figure it out tomorrow. Thx again!
