    Normal sand filter differential?

The pictures aren’t the best because I had to use the front camera. I could see the deep end better before brushing about 36 hours ago. Brushing ended up pushing most of algae to deep end, instead of scrubbing motion. I did forget to lower the PH before raising the FC, but later added enough MA...

    Normal sand filter differential?

Only been SLAMing for 3 days, was just expecting to see something during backwash. Currently have CYA ~37, FC 15.5, CC 0. Been checking FC 3 times a day, adding enough to get me to 17 each time. 15 is the lowest it has been. Another concern of mine is algae vs. mustard algae vs. dirt...

    Normal sand filter differential?

Rollercoastr: I haven’t added DE yet, as I am very new to pool ownership. I think I may go that way, I am all for better filtration. Jim: it’s been in service about 1-1/2 months.

    Normal sand filter differential?

Mine is a single speed 3450 RPM. Sounds like mine may be normal and I’m just not patient enough during the SLAM.

    Normal sand filter differential?

What is the normal differential pressure on a ‘clean’ sand filter? Mine ranges from 17-20. I’m trying to determine if the installer put enough sand in it, because my pool is cloudy and I’m not seeing an increase in differential pressure or visual indication when I back flush.

The steps are supposed to be the way to self-test.

For clarity, mine only gave me issues once and that was when I tried to start a cycle immediately after it completed the first one. I contacted the manufacturer via email, but their reply was only a confirmation of receiving the complaint. To say the least, I’m not impressed with it and their...

    Pump cycle times?

Liquid chlorine is definitely my future, once tabs give me the desired CYA or are gone. Oh wow, I was expecting my current 8 hours to be close to a minimum circulation.

    Pump cycle times?

Is there an ideal daily circulation volume? I realize this is probably subjective to the environment, just wanting to know if there any rule of thumb once I get everything cleared.

    Pump cycle times?

Thanks. I may continue to use the tabs until my CYA is ideal. Initially I was going to remove the chlorine injector, so there are less components to break or leak. But, it may become useful for when we are out of town. Once I get the dirt under control, I may lower the TA, because I have been...

    Pump cycle times?

Well guys I am 1 week into my pool and enjoying it (not as much as kids). Are there any preferences/guidelines on when/how long to run the pumps? For the first 5 days we ran the pump 24 hours/day to assist with clearing the water. The last few we ran from 6 am to 2 pm. We were getting some...

Wasn’t sure about linking other websites, but the copied steps are below. Note on step 5, mine ran for several minutes, not the 30-45 seconds. 1) Unplug everything. Unplug the power supply from the outlet and the Dolphin from the power supply. 2) Let the whole thing sit a couple of minutes...
