    USING WINTER FLOATER

We always have used a Bioguard winter floater which contains TRI CHLOR tabs . They don't make them anymore and did not replace it with anything. I want to use a regular chlorine floater to replace it (MUCH CHEAPER TOO) but don't know how many tabs were in the Bioguard one. Does anyone use a...

Has anyone put a "cover mate" under your mesh safety cover at closing?

I know your post is old but just saw it. We bought a 'covermate' years ago and its like a miracle with the mesh cover over it. Its like thick bubble wrap but not heavy and just floats on the water and not hard to get off either. We had to replace our mesh cover two years ago and Loop Loc makes...

    Okay to store chemicals outside?

We used to get bad green algae on the shallow end walls in July and August and after starting Pool Perfect with No Phos....we have had none for years. I know you disagree but we swear by the stuff. Algae loves phosphates.

    Using a secondary cover?

==== We have an older all mesh loop loc (no drain panel) and all the green threads have worn off which allows more sunlight into the pool and creates a greener swamp in the spring more than it did when the green threads were intact. We drop the water way down but with rain and snow the...

DE filter pressure up at night and back to 'normal' in the morning

---Thanks Richard! It actually is a good thing as long as its not harming the filter process because I don't have to backwash every day after brushing but will backwash tomorrow and it will be interesting to see how dirty it is. We call the dirt on the bottom 'fluff'. It has little consistency...

    Polaris 9300 disapointing first run

-- Just happen to run across this post. Got our 9300 3 yrs ago here in Virginia and experienced same thing. Almost lost my mind over it stopping not long after starting. WELL.....turns out that the little guy does not like cold water...TRUE! This is not uncommon for robotic cleaners and has...

DE filter pressure up at night and back to 'normal' in the morning

Opened pool 4 days ago for the season here in Virginia. Water is clear but 'dirt' on bottom. Had pool since 1987 so am used to this and it takes a few days for it all to go away with daily brushing/filtering. I brush and after many hours the pressure starts to go up and when it gets to...

    Polaris 9300 disapointing first run

Last May 27 (2014) when we opened the pool over Mem Day weekend I posted the issue on Fixya about the brand new P93 turning itself off after just a few minutes and going into 'flashing' mode' . A week later when we were at our wits end and I had done all the 'tricks' like running w/o the...

What site did you get it from? You said 'this site' and I can't find anything on here where they sell pool equipment. Please point me and thanks Terri

Pool filter pressure gauge stuck at 20

We had a metal cased one with glass face that came with our Anthony Pool 25 yrs ago until it finally got so cloudy we could hardly read it so I bought a nice new one at my Leslie's store this year when we opened the pool and they only had one kind...plastic. I liked the look of it but it has...

    Grease for Multiport Valve

We have had our Anthony pool/filter for 25 years and filter is still working fine (knock on wood). We do our own maintenance except blowing the lines in the fall and have gotten good at it but we are always learning. One thing we have only done once and it was long ago was to repack the grease...

    tbenton - pressure dropping

Had our pool for 25 years. Due to broken cleaner we had to vacuum for the first time after opening pool this year. Set it up properly and vacuum plate was sucked tight in skimmer and we were on full skimmer. Plenty of vacuum suction but filter pressure dropped to almost zero as soon as we...

    Polaris 380 wheels not turning

The body on this good used one that supposedly has all new parts is the dark blue rather sparkly one that you can kind of see through it. I guess its a newer 380 than the one I had. My original one was solid light blue and easy to take the cover off with one screw but I cannot figure out how...
