    All it needs is a seal. That is kind of like saying if the water pump goes out in your car that you just go buy a brand new car. But if you have the extra $$ to fork out for the entire housing that will work as well.

    Check the rubber diaphragm of the barracuda visually for cracks. Replace and let us know.

    The pump has a heat limiter built in if I am not mistaken. I would not worry about the running the pump 24/7. That is what they are built to do. Maybe a few others will chime in if they disagree.

    Does anyone here have any experience with this after market cell they are advertising? I like that it comes with a 2 year warranty and is a bit cheaper than OEM but I thought I would see if anyone else is using one. Let me know!

    Make sure to do your research on whether you are running 120v or 12v! I thought mine was 120v and it was not. I bought mine from inyopools and LOVE it. Really easy to replace. While you are replacing it make sure to replace the seal as well. LED Pool Spa Light Bulbs - INYOPools.com

    Saltwater system to chlorine- please advise

    You would not need to drain the entire pool. I would start by lowering it a couple of feet and refilling. You should be good to go from there.
