    Yellow Tint in Deep End

I’m happy to report that the water was clear this AM. I put some polyfill in the skimmers. They didn’t seem to have a color to them, but the water is clear nonetheless. Thanks again for the help!

SWG readout doesn’t change when powered on

I think I found the issue. When I removed the cell I could see some discoloration where the cable enters the cell. I removed the plate and found this mess. Looks like it is time to get a new one.

SWG readout doesn’t change when powered on

The cell is around 3 years old. I replaced the motherboard in the box about 4 years ago. Plug looks good and was seated well. Will try that next. I’m about to pull it and see how the cells look.

SWG readout doesn’t change when powered on

In order from the salt reading: 0 86 32.2 0.00 50p -0 AL-0 r 1.59 t-15 All of the numbers stay the same when I hear the click whereas they usually start changing.

SWG readout doesn’t change when powered on

When I power on my SWG the voltage and other readouts do not change. Salt level reads as 0 although I have verified the salt level in my pool to be the optimal amount 3200. I tried calibrating, but the number never started high and went down, just stayed at 0. I haven’t taken the cell off to...

    Yellow Tint in Deep End

Thanks @jblizzle I will put some polyfill in there and see if I can’t get it filtered out.

    Yellow Tint in Deep End

Diamond Crystal yellow bag. It had that tint to it prior to adding the salt. It’s odd that it would just now start having that tint with that water source. It is the same one we have used for 9 years. If it is iron, is it something the filter can catch without me adding anything else to the...

    Yellow Tint in Deep End

Our pool just finished filling today (municipal water) after a new liner installation. Ever since it had a good amount of water in the deep end it has had a yellow/green tint to it. The shallow end looks normal. I have attached a pic of salt in the deep end. You can see the main drain and salt...

Okay, sounds good. I’ll leave it as is for now. Thanks!

CH Test Purple from the Start

I just tested it the regular way and it turned blue from purple with 1 drop of #12.

CH Test Purple from the Start

The first time that I ran the test I used #10 and that’s then it turned purple as soon as #11 was added. I then read on here that if that happens to add 5 drops of #12 to start and then #10 and #11. When I did that it turned blue as soon as #11 was added.

CH Test Purple from the Start

Okay, just tested the tap water and the same thing happened. No sequestrant has been added. I had the tap water tested at the pool store to check for metals and all of them came back as 0. The deep end of the pool does have a green tint to it. Has had that since starting to fill on Tuesday. The...

CH Test Purple from the Start

Once I added R-0011L the solution turned purple. I started over and added 5 drops of R-0012 to start and then the R-0010 and R-0011L and the solution turned blue. Pool water is fresh and no chems added as the liner was just replaced. Water source is municipal. Did I do something incorrectly...

First SLAM not sure if things are working right.

Welcome! It sounds like you have done your homework and are on the right track. What test kit are you using? Can you post some pictures of your pool so we can see how things look? This will also help you see how things progress each day. Keep up with the SLAM and let the filter do its...

Lots of water loss in my IG vinyl liner pool

Our liner is being replaced now. The cost for the labor was well worth it for me to not have to deal with measuring, ordering replacement parts (eyes, gaskets, faceplates, etc.), minor floor/wall repairs, hauling off the old liner, etc. Also, in our case, and although a rare occurrence, the...
