    Removing Baja Deck umbrella sleeve

Yeah - for two reasons we will at a minimum take them down in winter - the wind being one - although we WERE in fact enjoying the pool when this occurred - you cant really predict the dust devils, but more importantly we don't want the poles to rot/rust again and cause this problem. Even the...

    Removing Baja Deck umbrella sleeve

Got lucky - was able to remove the inside pole remnants without damaging the sleeve or the pool. My guess is I WOULD have had to drain the baja deck and then put some lubricant in there or something. As a side not - my neighbor down the street got video of my umbrella a hundred or so feet...

    Removing Baja Deck umbrella sleeve

OK - so learned an important lesson today - do not leave your umbrella in the sleeve in the baja deck forever! We actually have 4 sleeves - 3 on the cooldeck and then one in the water in the 6" baja deck. Dust devil came in today and pulled two of our umbrellas up so high neighbors could...

    Calcium removal from Grout

Thanks - I was - once I had good luck with the stone I used it mostly - just a couple of areas I used the acid on.....was hoping it would be effective on the grout.....but doesn't look promising.

    Calcium removal from Grout

OK - thanks....I think the stone works well without damage on the tile itself. But was hoping to do something with the grout. I would bleach it but it is a darker color so that wont work...

    Calcium removal from Grout

Didn't see a forum for maintenance issues other than sort of this one. I recently posted and learned about calcium deposits. Today I made good progress with a pummice stone and bio dex 300 on the tiles themselves - but the acid didn't seem to do well on my test tile with the GROUT - or it...

    Calcium? Solutions?

By the way the puck holder in my profile pick was just in there from when the builder completed construction. As soon as I got control went to TFP practices.

    Calcium? Solutions?

TF-100 and liquid chlorine. I am not a total newbie but this is my first plaster pool....had large above ground in past (as you can see from old posts). Obviously just starting to increase chlorine levels pretty significantly as we enter 100+ and sun season. Where do I find out how to...

    Calcium? Solutions?

Hi, So, pool completed in December in Arizona. Winter monitoring went pretty smoothly - low chemical usage and things stayed within target ranges - once a week brushing etc. Once in a while PH seemed to get a tiny bit high - but never over 8. This week I started noticing (although in...

First test results - not a total newbie but feel like it.

Thank you for the quick response. I will email Becky. Can you ballpark me at all on how much Chlorine I am likely to go through here with the new pool? I stock up when I can so I don't have to run to get it all the time.....especially when Home depot gives bulk pricing - just paid 3.08 per...

First test results - not a total newbie but feel like it.

SO, I ve been on TFP for a while but haven't needed help of late. We had an above ground at our old house that once I got in the groove, literally put 10 oz of Chlorine in a day (sometimes more in the AZ summer), and a bit of CYA once in awhile and it stayed perfect all year long. TFP was...

    Replacing Pump hose

Just a quick update on this - got the replacement hose on Friday. Took about 1 minute to replace with VERY minimal water loss even without stuffing anything. And as suspected by PV2 above - that small leak did cause the pressure problem in the pump. It is all good now also. Thanks!
