TFP Method + Autocover + SWCG + Failed Pump = Liner Wrinkles

To be clear I am the one guessing about the heat build up at the surface under the cover when the pump stopped, not the PB (he says 100% chemistry b/c of my crazy high FC…). One time when the pump was out and before I realized it, I opened up the pool - the kids jumped in - then the kids...

TFP Method + Autocover + SWCG + Failed Pump = Liner Wrinkles

Pics of the wrinkles attached. It’s a few isolated areas - not all over. There was a hole in the liner originally (bad seam in bench corner). A patch took care of it, but then we had other leaks and the PB thought it would be more seam issues so requested a new liner. Side note, the other...

TFP Method + Autocover + SWCG + Failed Pump = Liner Wrinkles

Fair point and I’ve learned a ton here and appreciate the collective wisdom! I guess back to my question on what caused the wrinkles: - I don’t think it was an install issue b/c it’s been in for a year without issues (at least not wrinkles). - Is pH of 7.2-7.5 low enough to cause wrinkles (I...

TFP Method + Autocover + SWCG + Failed Pump = Liner Wrinkles

pH has been a struggle to keep high (>7.5), but it’s never dropped below 7.2 and is usually around 7.5. Have a stash of 20 Mule in the cabinet. Pump is a Pentair intelliflow VSF. Apparently there’s a firmware issue with the ones made during Covid and they need updated by Pentair. The rep came...

TFP Method + Autocover + SWCG + Failed Pump = Liner Wrinkles

1st full year with a vinyl liner pool and swcg. Did the whole bioguard mineral springs system for the end of last season and had an algae bloom so wanted to avoid that this season and adopted the methods on this forum. Water has been great, but had an issue with the pump stopping a few weeks...

    No Dig Plumbing Repair??

The deck is buff washed tinted concrete. A patch would be the same, but with variations in mix would not match exactly. I still don’t want to cut into a new deck and the pipepoxy sounds really promising. Do you have firsthand experience with it or a similar method?

    No Dig Plumbing Repair??

Hi TFP - I have a return line (1.5" flex PVC) that has a leak under my concrete deck. Pool is <1year old and the leak has been there from day 1. I don't really want PB to dig into the concrete so have been looking for no dig solutions and found pipepoxy. Has anyone used this or something...

Are IC40 % lights supposed to work when controlled by intellicenter?

Update: Something is wrong with my cover sensor - it thought the pool cover was closed regardless of the actual state and that's why it wasn't responding to any of my chlorine output adjustments. Changing chlorine output via the cover section of the panel resulted in the IC40 lights changing...

Are IC40 % lights supposed to work when controlled by intellicenter?

Thanks! I’m thinking something’s wrong with the intellicenter’s rs485 link. Will call PB to have it looked at under warranty.

Are IC40 % lights supposed to work when controlled by intellicenter?

Thanks!! I set the output to 40% under the chemistry section of intellicenter and waited awhile. Can’t get a good photo of the cell in the dark but only the green salt and green flow lights are on - nothing else. I’ve never paid much attention to the IC lights but yesterday my intellicenter...

Are IC40 % lights supposed to work when controlled by intellicenter?

Hi All - Should the lights on the IC work when the intellicenter is controlling it? Mine don’t but I thought they should. Should the more/less buttons on the IC work when the intellicenter is controlling it? Mine don’t but I figure that’s probably expected. Thx!
