    pH always rises back quickly

This happened to me last year (second year of pool). I would be dumping acid in every 10 days. This year, for some reason, I've added acid once. I've been stuck at 7.6 for weeks now. Not that I'm complaining. Same TA as you.

    Vinyl liner replacement.

I would strongly recommend John Springs up in Plymouth. They built my pool two years ago. Great guys.

    Delay to Build Vinyl Pool

My builder went from flat earth to water filled in 4.5 days.

Hayward OmniLogic - huge pH sensor offset

I bought some fresh calibration solution and confirmed the pH sensor is off by 0.5. Why even have it if it’s going to be so unreliable?

    Flooding Autocover to Cool

Update - this does nothing. Lol

    Flooding Autocover to Cool

The one thing that really rips heat out of my pool is rain. So, has anyone tried flooding an autocover with ~1/4" of water? The theory being that the energy needed to evaporate all that water is much more valuable than the energy needed to simply raise the water temp. In my case...

Hayward OmniLogic - huge pH sensor offset

I guess that’s the crux of my problem. I have two values, and when you have two values, you have none. I have no idea what to “trust”. Are the reagent kits golden? Hayward claims this system is “instrument grade”. Do I trust that over the reagent kits? Do I go buy some calibration buffers...

Hayward OmniLogic - huge pH sensor offset

I’m not sure what you mean by that. As far as I can tell, there is no way to “calibrate” (use reference buffers to generate a new slope and offset) this system. Best I seem to be able to do is to just manually offset it.

Hayward OmniLogic - huge pH sensor offset

Thoroughly cleaned the probe and it dropped by 0.1. Still 0.4 off.

Hayward OmniLogic - huge pH sensor offset

I suppose I have to talk to the builder. I would have assumed he did this when they opened the pool.

Hayward OmniLogic - huge pH sensor offset

I have a new pool (built last June) with an OmniLogic system. It uses the "sense and dispense" to record pH and ORP, but it doesn't actually "dispense" anything (aside from the ORP controlling the SWG). Last year the pH sensor reading I got from the OmniLogic system seemed to be dead on with...

    Quick pH rise

Hey Dustin. I'm actually up in Ozaukee Co. Nice to meet you. Yes I'm using a dropper kit, using a SWG, and vinyl. I know I will get the CYA recommendations but is that causing my (what I'm thinking is) quick pH rise? Thanks, Nick

    Quick pH rise

Hello- This is my second season on this pool. It's brand new, built last June. Closed and opened by builder. Salt/Cartridge filter/Vinyl/Coverstar autocover/~33k gallon (20 x 45 with 6' sunshelf). I'm in the Milwaukee area. This thing has been crystal clear all last year and this. I've...
