    ecoFINISH aquaBRIGHT longterm review

1 year in and no flakes whatsoever. I also had very few flakes after install. It might help that our very own BDavis did it and thus likely did everything well.

Fantastic. I really appreciate that advice and will give it a shot!

    High CYA SLAM

Greetings, I'm hoping to get some input into my SLAM process to ensure I should continue with it. My pool was built in December and the levels have been great. About a month ago, I started to lose FC at a rapid rate, with FC often coming down toward 1 or zero. I have a 6-month old SWG cell...

Los Angeles Build - Signed Contract

Congrats on the new pool! Fair warning, be prepared to wait a bit for DWP. Nice design. Did you consider the look of a spa that is lower and has a shorter spillover into the pool (like an inch or two)? I started with a higher design and then ended up going with one that is just above the...

    South Florida patio pool spiders

These spiders are awful and are indeed pervasive in screened-in pools in South Florida. That being said, as much of a pain as they are to clean up, I couldn’t stomach the thought of someone spraying pesticides up into the air (onto the screen) all around/over my pool...

Your build: What would you do differently?

Wish I had gone with an Easytouch 8 instead of 4. Only a month or so into pool ownership, along comes an idea for outdoor string lights and the discovery that all of my slots on the 4 are full. I let my PB convince me the 4 was fine, over the suggestions of this board. Rookie mistake...

    New Build, Los Angeles, CA

A few punchlist items left for the patio, but the pool is pretty much complete. This was the first weekend with all the accoutrements (finished patio, grass, Sonos zone w/ outdoor rock speakers, floats, etc) and we’re absolutely loving it. With the end of the process nearing, I’m really happy...

    Fire Ash in Pool

Thanks. I just realized I made the rookie move of posting without searching. Apologies. If the mods want to merge this, that’s OK. Seems the conventional wisdom is it shouldn’t hurt things too badly, but keep an eye on your filter.

    Fire Ash in Pool

Greetings, New pool owner here — There is a large fire about an hour away from my house and I awoke to find my one week old and formerly beautiful pool water coated in a dirt/ash that had fallen from the sky (along with everything else on the patio). While I normally run my pump 8 hours a day...

    Tanning Ledge/baja Shelf Furniture................Ledge lounger?

I couldn't bring myself to do it. It was going to be like $1,850 with shipping and tax for two deep ledge loungers. Also, with a 14 inch deep tanning ledge, it means folks would be sitting in about 4" of water, which seems like too much. I went with these Omega plastic chaise loungers...

    Tanning Ledge/baja Shelf Furniture................Ledge lounger?

Thanks, that's pretty much my thinking as well. They look absolutely stunning and the ledge is a huge focal point of my small pool, so I think it's worth it. I just hope they end up being comfortable! I'll likely be checking them out in a local showroom.
