    air bubbles on pool surfaces.

Unfortunately I have made many changes to my system this year so it is difficult for me to know what resulted from what but.... I have been noticing zillions of tiny air bubbles on the pool walls, and bottom, even the steps. these are nowhere near the returns and I doubt that they are from the...

    Replacement Breaker for Equipment pad

box on right is fed from main panel in basement on a 20 amp DP breaker 240 v. Pretty sure the wires are 12 gauge, definitely not 14 but too flexible to be 10. (there is also a separate 120 line in the conduit that leaves the box on the right and feeds a separate box for the light), 240 feeds...

    Replacement Breaker for Equipment pad

My equipment pad is fed by a 220 line from a 20 amp double pole breaker in the main panel in the house. The breaker in the box at the pad is a double pole 50 amp gfci breaker. Well that breaker failed today and will not reset so it will be replaced. my question is should it be replaced by...

Pentair Mastertemp 400 E05 error after other stuff.

I haven't tested today but my readings have been pretty good so far . I use The LaMott Color Q test kit (Gift from my wife) I backwash pretty often, and check the pressure obsessively I will check the output on the returns and see what my flow rate is doing Thanks for that suggestion.

Pentair Mastertemp 400 E05 error after other stuff.

My 3rd season with the Mastertemp 400 started with a major problem. I went trough the troubleshooting guide but tried not to tear the whole thing down to make a simple fix. The guide suggested my problem was the control board. But I noticed the price of the board and decided to do some further...

    Pentair Superflow lid question

So I bit the bullet and bought a new pump (Pentair Superflo) When I opened the box, I was surprised I couldn't open the basket lid. It is a press on, with a quarter turn clamping ring. I had to hit the Ring with a Hammer/block of wood to get it off. Then when I went to put it back on I can only...

Thanks for the thoughts. I'm guessing there might be a crack on the part I cant take out to look at. Regardless I guess it's time for a new pump.

Pump leaks after go kit installed

I have a Sta-Rite Maxi Glass PE type I'm on the 3rd Motor. Second Go kit and several lid gaskets under my belt. This year the pump was leaking pretty bad (multiple drips per second, but not a spray). The leak was coming from under the pump housing where the band clamp is. It was also losing...

Can I filter a pool that is not full?

My water level is below the skimmer and vacuum inlets. I have my valves set to only draw from the main drain. Assuming there are no leaks that would cause the pump to suck air in, can my filter run with the level this low? I know that's not the recommended situation, but I am wondering if it...
