My $25 auto chlorinator DIY project

I'm wondering if it's possible to have the pump pull from two reservoirs: 1 of water and 1 of chlorine. This would dilute the chlorine going through the pump and increase its lifespan?

Removing Safety Cover without the tool?

Bought 3/4" conduit from the hardware store and shaped the end with a hacksaw. Worked perfectly!

Hazy water + sunscreen on the surface. How long to see improvement?

No haze improvement yesterday after ~8 hours. Backwashed filter last night around midnight. Woke up to less haziness around 9am. However, no improvement to haziness since this morning (~8 hours). Backwashed filter again to see if that helps. If no improvement by tomorrow morning, I'll try a...

Hazy water + sunscreen on the surface. How long to see improvement?

    > You need to follow the SLAM Process I've started SLAMing by adding all liquid chlorine I had. I then went out to get more chlorine but since my FC had not dropped, it seems nothing is using up the chlorine. > You should convert to a SWG It's on the list :)

Hazy water + sunscreen on the surface. How long to see improvement?

Second year with a pool. No major problems last year. This year, dun goofed finally and not sure how to fix my first goof. I have a rental home. I forgot to fill up the chlorinator with tri-chlor before 10 people partied for 3 days. Came back, water is hazy. Checked the FC, it was around 5...

Any MacGyver fixes for bad o-ring on Hayward inline chlorinator?

Per internet advice, I cut the o-ring. Cut off 1/4" and super glued the ends back together and worked perfectly!

Any MacGyver fixes for bad o-ring on Hayward inline chlorinator?

Just replaced the stupid o-ring last summer. It's already stretched out and too big. Any way to jury rig this thing until I can get a new one in a couple days?

People use grounding rods for the their pumps and Hayward says not to. Who's right?

https://www.hunker.com/13418190/how-to-ground-and-bond-hayward-pool-pumps "Connect the ground wire to the ground connection or to the circuit ground wire in the time clock or electrical panel. The ground wire must provide a path back to the main electrical panel to assist with circuit breaker...

Brand new Polaris 360 leaks at hose's swivel point nuts

Unfortunately, yes - I do wish it was a dumb simple fix like that.

Brand new Polaris 360 leaks at hose's swivel point nuts

Was hard to tell because the water shoots out so fast but the leak was from the middle of the swivel. Appears that the swivels are just made like Crud. Polaris sent me new swivels under the warranty and first two I tried had the same problem. Third one finally did not leak from the middle...

Dichlor/Bleach Method - why not add stabilizer to start instead of waiting for Dichlor to dissolve?

Why not add liquid chlorine and a stabilizer and skip the multi-day Dichlor process? Or why not just add all needed Dichlor at the beginning?

What is safe water pressure after pressure-side cleaner installation?

Hayward 1hp pump, Hayward sand filter, Hayward inline chlorinator. 4 return jets. 1 skimmer, 1 main drain. 18-20k gallon inground vinyl pool. I recently installed a Polaris 360 pressure-side cleaner (no booster needed). Before installing the cleaner, my water pressure was normally ~19. After...

Brand new Polaris 360 leaks at hose's swivel point nuts

Set it up today and it seems to be operating decently. Is leaking at the hose's swivel points normal? They are all leaking somewhat. Not sure if this is just to keep the hose moving around? Tried to tighten the nuts but made no difference and the nuts seem pretty cheap so I don't want to break...
