I’m having a lot of people over in a few hours. Should I just go ahead and turn on the slide to maybe raise it a bit, or do I need to add some borax?
As far as chemicals, I actually only store the chlorine in the garage. I keep the Muriatic acid, baking soda, borax, etc inside a cabinet in the house.
Otherwise, we store the cat food, lawn mower, etc in there too.
I use a lot of chlorine with the size of my pool. I have SO MANY bottles that stack up and nowhere local to recycle them (and I hate just sending them all to the landfill).
I can get a 50gal drum for a little cheaper per gallon than I am paying now. I would have to store it in the garage...
My TA was at 60 when I opened this year and my PH was a little low. So I brought the TA up to 70 and my PH has been steady around 7.5-7.6. We’ve had a lot of rain the last 2 days and my results this morning are:
FC- 6.0
CC- 0
PH- 7.9
TA- 70
CYA- 40
My PH is a little high and it says to add 2c...
This is my first year opening the pool from winter closing. When is the best time to open? I live in Southern Kentucky, but I have no way to tell the temp of the water under the cover.
I have a solid cover without a drain (pump on cover), liner pool with tanning ledge and liner over steps. I worry about draining so that the steps and ledge are out of the water… but don’t you have to drain below the returns?
I’ have lots of air coming out of the returns when the pump starts. After a few minutes, no more air. The pump hold prime while off, so I don’t think it’s that. I do notice that when the pump shuts off, I can hear a “sloshing” sound in the heat pump. I don’t notice water leaking anywhere though...
My pool has been crystal clear since we finished it a month ago. Yesterday they moved dirt around it, and it was super windy. It blew tons of dirt into the pool. I immediately started brushing and vacuuming. I have continually gotten the dirt off the sides and bottom, but the water is cloudy...
