Yes you are correct. I meant to say rip or pull the cover off lol. I used home made bungee cards to secure it so it can flex as needed.

I am pretty sure I got it from the In The Swim Catalogue. It’s going on three years and it is holding up well.

I remove all hoses and take off the top of the sand filter and drain it and cover the opening and leave that out. I put the pump and top of the sand filter in my garage.

I have used a mesh cover with a pool pillow and anchored to the ground the last two years. No problems whatsoever. I add algicide in March and that usually works until I open it. Last year it was just starting to turn green and with shock and clarifier it was crystal clear the next day.

In my experience if enough water collects it will pull the cover off.
