    TFP Method?

Okay, where is the TFP method to make this rain go away? :p Almost the end of June have only been in the new pool once! I'm ready to swim:swim: Ranting over. At least it supposed to be dry tomorrow.

    Question About Balancing

Well, it's been a month since I filled the pool. Numbers are stabilizing (despite the stupid rain we've had). Niece loved the pool. Said she loved how the water felt silky smooth and didn't burn her eyes like the public pool. Been following TFP's method this entire time. Here is what we have.

    Question About Balancing

OK, haven't touched the pool to see where the numbers settle. pH has staying steady at 7.8 TA has staying at 130 I ran tests on 5/11 and re-ran them today (5/15). Should I work on getting that TA down to recommended levels?

    Question About Balancing

@Richard320 - thought I had read that somewhere on these forums before. My TA started high right from the hose (300). Once I got the other numbers reasonably in line, I tackled the TA. I'm going to let everything sit for a week and see how it goes on its own. I was in the pool today after work...

    Question About Balancing

    New Build in Ohio

@mknauss Did some research: Pool Season is a brand name! The "pepper" was described what sounded like a conditioner for the SWG cells to help prevent scaling. The bottle of Baquacil was suggested to use in cleaning the pool above the water line The FC - my stupidity :) In the instructions it...

    New Build in Ohio

Officially given the keys today. Was given the tour of the equipment, chemicals, etc. Got it cleaned up. After manually vacuuming, I am definitely investing in a bot! Kids already jumped in it (water was 70 at the time 🥶 ) Once they were done, added CYA via skimmer sock method. Waiting for...

    New Build in Ohio

Thanks mknauss! I'll re-do my TA and FC tests. I thought that TA looked a bit too high. Wasn't sure of the FC number. I'll be sure they do not get anywhere near the water with that bottle :D

    New Build in Ohio

Below are my fill water test results. I did the TA twice (second was the high TA test). I followed the instructions on how to calculate the results from the box (test kit in sig below). Our city water has very high levels of chlorine. I think the FC number is accurate. CYA and Salt were not...

    New Build in Ohio

@DorsalSpine - Another Buckeye neighbor! As you can see from the attached, liner is done. Actually, construction is done. Waiting to fill the pool until tomorrow. Our summer water rates kick in which doesn't include sewage rates; SO, saving some $$$ on the fill Once that is done, salt, chems...

    New Build in Ohio

Haven't tested the fill water yet. Just did pH when I got the kit (7.6). Planning on running tests tomorrow. Had to go back to work this week :( since the PB doesn't have an ETA on finishing due to the weather around here. Today was good. They got the decking poured and the initial grading done...

Everything is at a standstill until Monday due to rain today and tomorrow. This is my luck - they had perfect weather for their first two builds of the season
