Circupool SmartFlo VS Pump - Help with Limited Scheduling Options

Last week I installed a Circupool Edge-40 SWG and a Circupool SmartFlo VS Pump. They are working great and I'm loving the consistent FC levels and lower daily kwh usage, plus a $250 rebate from my power company. The one disappointment has been with the schedule programming limitation with the...

Simple Bleach Strength Test w/ 5 Reagent Bottle Drops & 2 L Bottle

That is good to know! At only 3%, I'm going to be dropping off a lot of bleach containers at the recycling center.... will probably get some peculiar looks. It might be fun to throw some crimson stained sheets in the bed of my truck 😬.

Simple Bleach Strength Test w/ 5 Reagent Bottle Drops & 2 L Bottle

Correction, I think the correction factor is to divide by 1.04 (or multiply by .9615)... however, the estimate seems to be close enough for practical purposes without this step.

Simple Bleach Strength Test w/ 5 Reagent Bottle Drops & 2 L Bottle

Thanks for the reply tillmac62. Your method is sound, but my main issue is how to precisely measure 0.1 ml of "bleach" as I don't have a ready supply of 100 micro-syringes. However, I do have plenty of used, rinsed reagent bottles that can dose a precise 5 drops... and plenty of 2 L bottles...

Simple Bleach Strength Test w/ 5 Reagent Bottle Drops & 2 L Bottle

Atwood's was out of 10% chlorine so I had to pick up a few cases of their ordinary bleach (concentration unknown), and I need to know the concentration in order to use Pool Math. I found some great info in older threads for determining bleach strength by creating a 1:10,000 dilution and then...

Hasa Liquidator - determining max/min chlorine levels

Thanks pjt. I should have made sharpie marks on the inside of the tank before it was full. It seems to be working great just by adding 4 gallons of 10% LC each week, so I'm not going to fool with it until this winter when cleaning it up. I'll add the gallon marks per your suggestion then. My...

Hasa Liquidator - determining max/min chlorine levels

Going into our 4th swim season and I decided to ease the burden of daily chlorine additions by installing a Liquidator (SWG conversion may be coming down the road). Installation was easy, except for air getting into the system via the flow-meter which caused the pump to lose prime, but since...

What to do with bromine dust

Hi all, I’ve accumulated a lot of bromine dust in the bottom of tablet containers over the years and was wondering if I could add it to my chlorine pool this spring when opening to help maintain shock levels during SLAM. Is this crazy, dangerous, stupid...? Appreciate your thoughts. Stay safe!

Is it ok for gunite sun shelf to remain above water level during winter?

I decided to winterize myself this year (Northwest Arkansas), so drained our 22000 gal gunite/plaster pool an inch below the returns to ease blowing out all of the plumbing lines. Consequently the top step and our sun shelf are now high and dry above the water line. Will it be ok to cover the...
