AO Smith 3/4 HP Full Rate Two Speed - B2973T Fault 12

Blue wire rerouted, well clear of the white/L2 terminal. Motor works fine on low speed. Works on hi for 2 mins, then Fault 12. I’ll pull the impeller today and look at that seal, and report back w/ pics

AO Smith 3/4 HP Full Rate Two Speed - B2973T Fault 12

Okay, yeah I see what you’re saying. So only an L1 (blue wire) and L2 (white wire) plus the green ground wire? I’ll open it up and reroute that blue wire. Thank you!

AO Smith 3/4 HP Full Rate Two Speed - B2973T Fault 12

Okay I think I’ve wired it incorrectly. I have a blue, white and green wire coming from the timer. I’m thinking (after some research) that I should have another wire for the 115v two speed motor. Unfortunately the new motor did not come with wiring instruction, but it’s my bad for not digging...

AO Smith 3/4 HP Full Rate Two Speed - B2973T Fault 12

The current impeller is the Hayward SPX2605C. The retailer suggested I try this one to cure the fault 12. Initially after upgrading to the new 2 speed pump, I was using the Hayward SP2607C. A pic of the old motor is below. Voltage is 115V.

CYA...Follow the manual or follow the site?

My pool was a mess before I discovered TFP. My problem was that I listened to my local pool store experts and ended up with a cloudy pool with chemical levels all over the place, and a very high CYA level. After going to pool school, and through gradual water replacement, my CYA is the low...

Shocking pool turns water milky white

Great post Swampwoman! Poolschool set me straight so I can't overstress how important it is to study that, along with investing in a good test kit. I've been following the TFP principles since last spring and haven't looked back. And no more dealing with the pool store! Sent from my iPhone...

cya is 90, have to replace 50% of pool water?

My process was basically what Yippee and TK did. Waste/refill over several months periodically last season, only taking the water level down to that of the skimmer; now my CYA is around 45, down from a high of 100+. And I use bleach exclusively, no more pool store visits for me! Edit: I...

    Dolphin's new "S series"

Does anyone know anything about Dolphin's new "S series" line of robots? I've just seen several youtube videos, but I can't find anything regarding price. Apparently this is a brand new line that hasn't been released in the US yet? Any info? Thanks in advance!

Still having trouble with Polaris 360

I agree with all these tips. I've had a Polaris 360 for about 8 years, and it can be very finicky at times, and it requires some patience. I found that when it comes to adjusting the pressure relief valve, going from one extreme to the other first (very high pressure to very low pressure) will...

Re: Did I add to much stabilizer to my pool ?!?

Re: Did I add to much stabilizer to my pool ?!? Got it! I just read a few more posts and I think I can make it work. In the meantime, I've been adding lots of liquid chlorine (bleach) and things are looking really good. Many thanks! Edit: I have to add, for those newbies like me…after...
