    Bromine pH question

    Generally I keep the TA at 100, although now that I read the above it is to high Taylors book recommends 80-100 for hypoclorite etc and 100-120 for bromide so the TA is defiantly high.

    My question is the pH in my spa is always high requiring 1-2 oz of Sodium Bisulfate to adjust the pH down to 7.2-7.4 every time I test weekly or twice a week depending on bather load, (which does not seem to matter in regards to pH).     Spa Frog

    Thanks for the info guys, SWCG is interesting as we are not big daily users, but I would like to maintain the water FC if we are out on vacation etc. Interesting that D1 does not recommend SWCG, however they do not say it will void your warranty.

    Thanks JoyfulNoise & Splash, I intend to purge (Ahhsome) before startup no matter which system I use. On first blush it seems like bromine has a little less of a maintenance demand then chlorine. It also seems that D1 leans toward chlorine with there vision silver system they use but no outright...

    Bromine or Chlorine?

    OK I've used bromine in the past, and I have a new tub should I use bromine or chlorine. I've "heard" bromine is harder on hot tub equipment/shell/cover then chlorine. Any thoughts on that statement?
