    Water spigot after pump?

When I was re-plumbing my system I put in a spigot too. The one difference I made from traditional setups: I got a "Boiler Drain Valve" from Home Depot. The valve connects a hose, just like a regular garden spigot, however the valve opens much wider and does not slow flow nearly as much. It...

    IC40 with a breaker?

Does it make sense to install a breaker for my IC40 to keep the cell powered off in the Winter. All it does is flash and complain about "low salt" when it really means "low temperature." If I were to add a breaker, how should it be wired? Thanks! Ed

Pool paint for drain and returns?

Are they really so expensive that paint is a better choice over replacement?

    Pool Pole Cam Glue?

I went with Plumber's Goop, easily obtained at Home Depot for under $5. It is still curing, but the initial setup is great and I am sure this will work out fine. Thanks all, especially Jason. Ed

Purchasing new pump. Narrowed to 3. Need advice/opinions

I can't offer advice, but I'll offer an opinion. Last year we switched to a VS, IntelliChlor, and the EasyTouch 4. The bundle, plus installation and initial salt load was $2500. Worth every penny, in our opinion. The EasyTouch handles everything for us (landscape lights, solar, two speeds...

    Pool Pole Cam Glue?

Any idea on a household glue that would hold the plastic cam to the aluminum pole? Mine had broken free and needs to be reset.

    Pebblesheen vs. Quartzscape vs. Stonescape

The thing that convinced me was to take full (or nearly full) strength Muratic acid and put a few drops on each sample surface. Let it sit for 10 seconds, then rinse with water. The PebbleSheen and PebbleTech had nearly no residual impact. The DiamondBrite and Stone Scape all had very visible...

    Remodel - Pebble Sheen

I just completed a remodel, removing old plaster and installing new pebble sheen surface. (It looks great!) The pool was filled overnight last night, and here are my test results (pure water - nothing yet added). The pool company is coming out on Monday to do the "startup chemicals" and such...

    My testing recommendation

Kelly, I'm glad you did the donation! On the Polaris pump, might I suggest spec'ing the Polaris Halcyon Booster Pump PB4-60Q. It is quieter than the standard motor. Also, just a thought, I went with the Pentair IntelliPro, which is a black, rebranded IntelliFlo VS. It comes with couplers...
