    Glass block mortar?

Update on this. I bought some glass block mortar and used it. I drained the hot tub, acid washed it and and the tile, removed the excess mortar with a Dremel tool, then filled it back in with new mortar. Once all dried and cleaned out I rerouted the pool water back to the hot tub and overflow...

    Glass block mortar?

Thanks Patrick_B. I definitely like it too and want to keep the block. Some people have recommended removing it and form filling concrete in. I don't think that would look as nice especially considering I would be unable to find the matching tile at this point.

    Glass block mortar?

Hi all, love this site use it regularly. Wondering if anyone has any experience with glass block spillover, specifically with leaking mortar. The blocks themselves are all in great shape. But, some of the mortar (especially inside the spa) has chipped away. I run the pool about 8 hours in...

Salt reading - how to calibrate?

Jason - thanks for the response. In the configuration menu there are two options - t-cell-5 and t-cell-15. T-cell-15 is selected. Thanks for verifying there is no way to calibrate the cell on this system - I was told by several people that you could and I was pulling my hair out! I guess I...

Salt reading - how to calibrate?

Hi all. I recently replaced my main PCB in my Goldline Aqua Logic PS-4 system and re-entered all of the programming. I replaced the board because I was getting the No Cell Power / No Cell Power 2 errors with the typical burnt solder joint (that I was unable to repair). The cell is a Hayward...

Hot tub draining in between pump cycles

Dave - sorry for the late reply. I found the check valve (a Jandy spring loaded flap style) and the seal around the flapper had deteriorated. I replaced it and all is well. Thanks!

Hot tub draining in between pump cycles

Hello everyone - interesting problem I hope someone can shed some light on. My pool is set up for a propane heater but the heater is not there (bought house on foreclosure, they took it). When they took the heater they bridged the inlet and outlet pipes together to complete the loop. They did...

    Testing a flow switch

Hi JamesW - yes it was a brief period (about 60 minutes). With the flow issue the panel was reporting no flow or no flow pump consistently within 15 - 20 minutes of turning on the pump. Clean filter - all good now.

    Testing a flow switch

Jbizzle - on your slam comment - we had that done. The pool was green green green two days before we closed on the house - so we told the owner it had to be fixed before closing. They did shock it (not sure how) and the chemicals are in good shape. We have had the house and pool for two weeks...

    Testing a flow switch

OK so it turns out the switch was not my problem - thanks so much for the recommendation. I plugged the switch back in, plugged the hole and held the switch closed as you recommended. It ran perfectly - so the switch works. So I began working on a flow issue. I noticed my filter pressure was...

    Testing a flow switch

Thanks - I will try this. The house sat empty for 8 months before I bought it so the pool is a wreck. If I can keep the pump going I can get it on track. I will post back with results.

    Testing a flow switch

Hello all - first post from me. I saw other posts similar to this but wanted to ask a specific question about testing a flow switch. I recently replaced my pump motor (just bought the house and motor had a bad bearing and was extremely loud). New pump working great, no leaks. However, since...
